Duke of Edinburgh's Award

All students in Year Ten have the opportunity to complete the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Once this is completed they are then able to progress to Silver and Gold.

This is a well respected and prestigious award and our students gain a great deal from all the elements of the Award. At each level there are four sections - Service, Skills, Expeditions and Physical Recreation. There are many activities available and pupils choose ONE activity to follow from each section. At Gold there are additional requirements but please see the official website for further details.

We organise the expeditions for all the Awards, using professional companies to plan and manage the details. These usually take place in the Peak District.
